Program Aktiviti

Carbon Quest - Pancasains

Description:
An interactive board game experience inspired by a Monopoly-style gameplay, where participants explore carbon footprint and sustainability through real-life scenarios.

Learning Focus:

  • Environmental awareness
  • Carbon footprint & carbon cycle basics
  • Sustainable lifestyle choices


Visitor Experience
: Participants play a strategy-based game where every decision impacts their carbon footprint:

  • Unsustainable actions earn white coins (higher carbon impact)
  • Sustainable choices earn green coins (positive environmental impact)

Through gameplay, participants learn how everyday actions contribute to carbon emissions and are encouraged to make better, more sustainable decisions.

Self-Watering Pot

Description:
A hands-on DIY activity where participants build a self-watering plant system using recycled materials such as plastic bottles, promoting sustainability and creative upcycling.

Learning Focus:

  • Plant biology basics
  • Water absorption & capillary action
  • Sustainable living & recycling practices


Visitor Experience
:
Participants construct their own mini plant system using used plastic bottles, learning how water is naturally transferred to plants through capillary action.

Through this activity, participants not only understand plant care but also experience how everyday waste can be transformed into useful, eco-friendly solutions.

Beebot Challenge

Description:
A beginner-friendly coding challenge using Bee-Bot robots, where participants solve movement-based and maths-related missions through simple programming.

Learning Focus:

  • Logical thinking
  • Basic coding & sequencing
  • Problem-solving
  • Early numeracy skills (e.g. counting, direction, simple calculations)


Visitor Experience
:
Participants program Bee-Bot to navigate a grid by completing a series of math-based missions, such as reaching target numbers, solving simple problems, or following numbered paths.

Through trial and error, participants develop coding logic while strengthening their understanding of numbers, directions, and sequencing in a fun, interactive way

Mblock Challenge

Description:
An intermediate coding activity using the mBlock platform, where participants learn to control digital or hardware outputs through block-based programming.

Visitor Experience:
Participants create simple programs to control outputs such as blinking LED lights, learning how coding instructions can trigger real actions.

Through hands-on challenges, participants explore how sequences, timing, and logic are used to build interactive projects, strengthening their understanding of how code connects to real-world technology.

LED Keychain

Description:
A hands-on electronics activity where participants create a light-up flower keychain by combining simple circuits with creative craft using materials such as pipe cleaners for petals.

  • Creative design & craftsmanship


Visitor Experience
:
Participants assemble a simple circuit to power an LED, then design their own flower-shaped keychain using pipe cleaners as petals.

Through this activity, participants experience how electrical connections bring their creation to life, while expressing creativity through personalised designs.

Biome Keychain

Description:
A creative hands-on workshop where participants design and hand-sew animal-themed keychains using felt, each representing a different biome — tundra, desert, rainforest, and marine.

Participants use a specially designed 3D-printed needle to bring their creations to life, combining traditional crafting with modern technology.

:
Participants create their own felt animal keychains, including:

  • Fennec Fox (Desert)
  • Polar Bear (Tundra)
  • Golden Poison Frog (Rainforest)
  • Dumbo Squid (Marine)


Through the activity, participants learn how animals adapt to different environments while developing crafting skills.

Catapult

Description:
A hands-on engineering activity where participants design and build a DIY catapult using simple materials such as popsicle sticks, pencils, or wooden dowels, combined with elastic components like rubber bands.

Learning Focus:

  • Simple machines (lever & pivot systems)
  • Force, motion & energy transfer
  • Engineering design thinking (build–test–improve)


Visitor Experience
:
Participants construct their own mini catapult and experiment with how stored energy (from tension in rubber bands) is converted into motion to launch objects.

They test different designs by adjusting elements such as:

  • Arm length
  • Angle of launch
  • Tension force


Through repeated trials, participants observe how these changes affect distance and accuracy, encouraging experimentation, problem-solving, and design improvement.

3D-keychain

3D keychain

Description:
A digital design activity where participants create their own 3D-printed name keychain using Tinkercad, an intuitive beginner-friendly design platform.

  • Introduction to digital fabrication


Visitor Experience
:
Participants design their own personalised name keychain in Tinkercad, learning how to create and modify shapes in a 3D space.

They visualise their design digitally before it is translated into a physical object through 3D printing, helping them understand how digital ideas can be turned into real-world products.
